Great weekend show!

Sorry for the lack of posts.  We've been very busy lately - not too much in the realm of picking but we did a great show this past weekend!  We set up a table at the "Best in Show" Animal Rescue Car, Truck, and Motorcycle fundraising event.  Met some great people, awesome dogs, and saw some great cars!  We brought a bunch of gas/oil stuff and got some beautiful pictures thanks to photographers Peter Marzano and Russ Vandermeir!

In other news, we've done some major re-arranging at our booth in Palatine.  Come by and visit!  Also, we are really looking forward to getting back to the outdoor market at Allstate arena so rain or shine, we will be there!

One other thing, we are trying to make some more room and have decided to move away from furniture (too big of a task for us apartment dwellers) so we listed a few great mid century pieces on craigslist.  We have 3 Salton hotray wood warming/tea carts with acrylic domes (asking $80 each obo), an orange eames style plycraft lounge chair (asking $100 obo), a beautiful orange vinyl baumritter chair (asking $250 obo), a pair of tiki cane/bamboo swivel chairs (asking $75 for the pair obo, and a pair of redwood folding aluminum lawn chairs (asking $50 obo).  If anyone is interested, let us know!

Full load in indiana!

Lots of cool stuff today! A trunk load of a few different styles of tiller wheels, a load of deer antler mounts, a nifty car radio display which should clean up nicely, tins, michelob beer clock lamp, box of postcards, coca cola smalls, just some all around interesting stuff! Wolff's outdoor at Allstate arena is closed for the next two weekends so be sure to come visit us at the indoor market in palatine!

Pick of the day!

We found this amazing Masonic piece dated 1929. Its a very unique ashtray.. but better yet its a brazier, ember bowl, komfoor, or also known as an antique pipe lighter. Embers would be held in the top chamber and used to light a cigar or pipe. It could be removed and easily passed around. Too cool!

Heading west

Tried a little something different today and went out west.  Ended up with a couple cool finds, definitely worth the trip.  We picked up a couple of turn of the century funeral and memorial pictures, wrought iron cross grave floral markers, a great industrial drafting chair, couple of cans, nifty lamps, sods crate turned into a basket, early sewing patterns (30's-50's), and a few other bits and bobs. Quality over quantity today.  Cool stuff!
