Pickin trip

Pickings have been slim.  We've been stuck in a winter rut and haven't found much of anything in a long time. Last Sunday we said, "screw it!", hopped in the van and drove to Kentucky.  We found some great stuff last time we were there and figured what better time to go back than the present!

It was nice to get out of town for awhile, albeit the weather was pretty nasty.  Lots of snow, wind, and bitter cold.

We were pretty successful in smalls. We found a bunch of interesting and rare lighters.  We also managed to score some lovely signs.

We got a tin framed 1940s O'Briens paint sign.  It's a big guy too - about 5 ft by 3 ft.

We also got a nos phillips 66 double sided restrooms sign.  We got pictures of the original box it came in but sadly the box wasn't included.

Perhaps our favorite is this early porcelain selz shoes sign - about 4ft long.

We will get some better pics of the signs once it warms up a bit.  In the meantime, here are some blurry shots and some pics of a few other signs we've picked up these past few weeks.

Our trip was rejuvenating and we hope it's a sign of some better picking ahead!
