Another trip to michigan!

Went to a crazy auction in Michigan yesterday.  There was so much stuff it took 8 hours to get through it all! We ended up with a car packed to the ceiling.  We got a ton of old radio and phonograph horns/cones, nifty old radio test equipment and parts, boxes of radio tubes, a hefty handful of safety razors and shave brushes, antique glass photo slides, amazing industrial chair, and a whole lot more! We didn't get home til late last night and still have to sort through boxes.  So much new stuff to bring into the flea market this weekend!  Also, its going to be cold so its the perfect excuse to come to palatine and visit us at Wolff's indoor flea market!

Another big week of buying

Made the trip out to Indiana today and got some nifty stuff.  A big ole stack of soda crates, haul of 1960s car and truck emblems, deer skull, heavy duty (heavy heavy heavy) dorman metal storage drawer unit, stack of Michigan license plates, and a nice box of smalls.  Tomorrow we will be back out east so hopefully we will have another carload (or two) of cool crap!

A little monday picking

Love it when a lead turns into a pick! After a couple of months we made it out to a look at some stuff a flea marketer had to downsize and ended up with some amazing stuff (and a few pieces for the personal collection!).  Our favorite piece is this vintage porcelain enamel shell petroleum products sign from the palwaukee airport.  We also got some old cast aluminum horse playground rides, a small collection of Chicago boot buttoners, some great industrial spot/flood lamps, and a large collection of 60s/70s political posters and bumper stickers.  Didn't get everything pictured but we got some fabulous pieces.  Great way to start the week!

Family trip to shipshewana

We got both sides of parents to come with us to the auction today! Had a blast and got some great stuff. Signs, toys, tools, cans, cast iron, medical... seriously a bit of everything!

Also, we did a pick in an old army surplus store on the far south side and got some interesting tidbits. Wwii bags, a helmet, lots of pins, some 1970s novelties, displays, and more!

Indiana picks!

Scored some cool signs, a few big ones! A nice rek o cut turntable, nifty stool, postcards, great Britain car badge from the 1950s, and a few other gems!
