Minnesota!

We are having a great weekend visiting friends up in minnesota.  This morning we went to a small flea market outside of Minneapolis and it was great!  Lots of quality merchandise.  Some of our finds include, a 10 gallon sinclair can, oilzwel oil can, pizza sign, early wooden Wrigley's gum crate, blue glazed pigs head, some advertising smalls, and more!  Hope this trend continues for the rest of the trip!

A little more

So we decided instead of packing like responsible adults we would go out picking instead! We got a few cool pieces this morning.

We did a bit of research and are planning on hitting a few markets in Minnesota this weekend. Wish us luck!

Mega find!

This might just be the coolest piece we've ever found. It's a super early porcelain enamel campbells soup sign that someone turned into a shovel.  They used the original brackets as braces and part of a wooden crate for the top lip.  Ingenious!

We also got a few other neat smaller signs, some pre prohibition chicago beer items, and more!

We are leaving Friday for 3 weeks - heading to work the sturgis motorcycle show.  We will hopefully do a little picking along the way.

Couple of weird things

Picked up some super interesting stuff today.  An adorable and slightly terrifying taxidermy chipmunk scene, a slew of salesman sample caskets, a coroner sign, box of post cards, auto-lite clock, some cool industrial lamps, a glass Dixie cup dispenser, and a few other odds and ends.
